Time has flown by and we are already half way through another summer in the Alps. Where have the last 9 weeks gone? Well, we have had several introductory alpine weeks and a couple of successful Mont Blanc ascents for good measure. There was an early season trip to the Gran Paradiso, which was fantastic and snowy, and a wonderful day on the Aiguille du Tour by the Table de Roc Couloir and down by the Col du Midi des Grandes. In addition to some great crag climbing we have had several great days on longer and interesting alpine rock routes, and also an ascent of the Aiguille des Pelerins. I have made a couple of trips over to my old stomping ground, the Saas Valley, and had some very capable clients learning alpine skills to use later on trips by themselves. Last week we had a wonderful time in the Ötztal Alps over in Austria. And there are still 8 weeks left for a load more climbing. So here’s hoping for some good weather!
